City of Fremont Noise Ordinance

A noise ordinance is a local law or regulation that sets limits on the amount of noise that is permissible in a particular area during specific times of the day or night. These ordinances typically specify acceptable noise levels, quiet hours, and penalties for violations. The COF Noise Ordinance Hours

The noise ordinance prohibits all disturbing, excessive, and offensive noises between the hours of 10 PM – 7 AM. 

Activities Exempt from this Ordinance:

  1. Emergency work
  2. Entertainment events and operations between the hours of 7 AM – 10 PM
  3. Permitted special events
  4. Maintenance of residential property between 7 AM- 10 PM
  5. Garbage removal
  6. Industrial districts
  7. Public health, welfare and safety activities
